Generally, the rules listed here are flexible depending on the
circumstances. All we ask is that you remain courteous and considerate
about how you act and talk to your peers while playing this game.

Use your common sense and try to refrain from sharing personal
information, such as phone numbers, addresses or even your real name
when in-game. Please be ethical and just.

Section 1: Forum Rules

Last updated: 06th January 2009
By: Ambiance

  • Spam (that's a Stupid Pointless Annoying Message)
is not tolerated. This generally revolves around going off-topic when
posting in a thread, but can also include posting new, unnecessary
    threads.
  • The posting of any hentai, porn, or otherwise adult material is prohibited.
  • Flaming or disrespecting any of your fellow members (especially the staff) will result in punishment according to the severity of the insult.
  • Double, triple, quadruple (and so on) posting to increase your post
count is prohibited. Should this happen, all of your posts will be
    merged into one.
  • As with your in-game information, we advise that you do not share
your forum account details. If you choose to do so, then what happens
to that account is purely your own responsibility.
  • Advertising is prohibited outside of your signature.
  • Signature images are not allowed to surpass 500px (width) by 300px (height).
  • Admin, GM or Mod tooling (saying "I know ______, he'll ban you!") is yet another thing that is not permitted.
  • Do not create Top 10/50/100 topics.

*Note that breaking these rules at any point will
result in your account being manually edited by a staff member, and/or
infracted/temporarily or permanently banned, depending on the severity
of your actions.

This list of rules is subject to change at any point without official
notification to members, so check this thread often to stay up to date.

Section 2: In-Game Rules

1. Punishable/Bannable Offenses
Items on this list usually result in a permanent ban the first time around, unless stated otherwise.

  • Harrassing other members (by constantly following them around
when your presence is not desired, constantly messaging that member
when contact with you is not desired, and more...)
  • Threatening other players (anything from saying you will "hack
their account" to "hunt them down in real life and murder their
    mothers")
  • Abusing in-game bugs and glitches to gain an advantage over other players.
  • Showing disrespect towards Game Masters and Administrators -
remember that they have the power to ban you without reason should they
    feel the desire.
  • Hacking/cheating or attempting to do so.
  • Utilising in-game bugs or glitches to dupe (duplicate) items or mesos.
  • Spamming local, party or guild chats (will usually result in a mute the first time around)
  • Impersonating a staff member.
  • GM Tooling ("I'm a friend of xxxxxx, he'll ban you!")
  • Cracking another person's account and taking their items (via any means except guessing their details)
2. Permitted Offenses
Items on this list are not punishable, but you will still look like an asshole if you try any of them.

  • Stealing another player's loot.
  • Scamming another player by means of a false trade, etc.
  • AFK spamming (shout only)
  • Flaming or insulting other members.
  • Cracking another person's account and taking their items (via means of guessing their details)
3. Miscellaneous
For items that don't belong on either of the other lists.

  • Trading/selling in-game items from other MapleStory servers to AeroStory and vice versa is permitted. However, WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR ITEMS, AND THEY WILL NOT BE RETURNED IN THE EVENT OF A SCAM.

If you are unsure about anything in this list or know of something that you believe should be added, contact a member of staff.

These rules are subject to change at any time without any form of notification to members.

Thank you for reading,
AeroStory Staff
